Soiree en Blanc 2022

The Toulon Committee of Norfolk Sister City Association has a new spring fling.  Our beloved Soiree en Blanc has moved from August to May!  Join us on the second Thursday of May (12th) for our traditional all in-white affair.

Following last year’s extreme heat, the Committee decided to move the event from one closing the summer season to one heralding the opening. Due to the layout of this year’s location, we will offer 8 seat and 10 seat tables. There are 24 tables of 8 and 9 tables of ten.

Guests will learn details of the site 24 hours prior.  Member tickets are $35 per person.  Nonmember tickets (yes, we will check and if you purchase at the member rate and your dues is lapsed, or you aren’t a member, you will be charged $50 family dues) $45 per person.

We encourage all to consider making life easy and getting one of the three boxed dinners we are offering.  These dinners are amazing and come with plates, napkins, cutlery and water.

MENU ONE – SALMON NICOISE SALAD – Marinated, seared fillet of salmon is nestled atop of Gem lettuce.
Fingerling potatoes, haricot verts, hard boiled eggs, grape tomatoes and pitted Kalamata olives are all flavored with a Dijon mustard and fresh herb vinaigrette. GREEN PEA AND PARSLEY HUMMUS Offered with pita chips. RASPBERRY COCONUT MACAROON Drizzled with bittersweet chocolate. PRICE PER PERSON- $30.00

MENU TWO – GRILLED STEAK & VEGATABLE SALAD – Slices of marinated medium rare beef with grilled zucchini, yellow squash, mushrooms, and peppers that have been lightly tossed with a rosemary mustard vinaigrette. FARMSTAND POTATO SALAD A colorful assortment of potatoes such as red, purple, and fingerling, are cut in different shapes and tossed with a dice of onion, celery, and a cornichon vinaigrette. FRESH HERB AND SEA SALT CRACKERS.  RASPBERRY AND LEMON GEMS.  PRICE PER PERSON- $35.00

MENU THREE –  ROASTED CHICKEN WITH PROVENCAL POTATO SALAD – Roasted chicken breast with lemon and thyme is sliced and set atop a potato salad with capers, sherry vinegar and thin green beans. EGGPLANT PANZANELLA
This Italian bread salad with grilled eggplant, arugula, grape tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, and fresh herbs is flavored with a red wine vinaigrette.  SWEET CINNAMON FRUIT DIP WITH STRAWBERRIES   PERSON – $30.00
